Cult heroes

Diving into our archives this week we take a look @ one of our cult heroes: German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn.

A Legend between the sticks, he was a top notch keeper and boy could he shout! Made his first team debut for Karlsruher SC back in 1987. Then in 1994 Bayern Munich smashed the German transfer record for a goalkeeper and paid $2.5 million for Kahn's talents.

Voted UEFA european goalkeeper of the year 4 times on the trot! Over 400 appearances for Bayern, and over 80 caps for 'The Germans' this shot stopper had all the angles covered! Retired @ the end of 2008 @ the age of 39.

“When you look at our programme for the next few weeks, you do not fancy a trip to the Oktoberfest,”

it's a football thing fact: Kahn hold's the rights to his name, past video games such as PES & Football manager were forced to create pseudonyms instead of using Kahn's real name!
