The Midweeker!

Grab that cheeky tea break with both hands as "The Midweeker" gives us his tip's for the pick of the mid week action!

What a week we have ahead of us, some cracking games in the Champions League & the Premiership. Can both North London clubs make it through to the next round of the CL? Will Chelsea make it 2 wins in the league on the bounce and can Birmingham get back to winning ways after the weekends hammering by WBA? We start off with tonight's game featuring Blackpool v Chelsea.

Blackpool have shown that they can mix it with the best! Wins over Spurs & Liverpool have shown us this, but like so many teams this season they can't seem to put a run of wins together, a fantastic result v Spurs was followed by a good old fashioned hammering by The Wolves! If Blackpool are to stay up they need to start putting a winning run together sooner rather than later.

Chelsea have had so many false starts to the season, but will the win over United finally get their season back on track? Back in the top 4 but with the likes of Torres & Drogba finding it hard to hit the back of the net, the blues need to hope that the rest of the team pitches in with the odd goal!

The Midweeker's verdict: GOALS GOALS GOALS An entertaining 4-4 draw!

Next up Barcelona v Arsenal

Arsenal go into the game taking a well earned lead to the Nou Camp. The only slight concern for Wenger is that his team have had some shocking results of late, a 0-0 draw @ home against Sunderland has dented their title hopes and is the latest of matches that Arsenal have failed to live up to their potential.

@ The Nou Camp Barcelona score for fun, so Arsenal know the best form of defence is attack. So we're hoping for a great entertaining match full of goals!

The Midweeker's verdict: Arsenal to win on Penalties.

Next up is Wednesday nights Premier league match featuring Everton v Birmingham.

The Toffee's have had a mix bag of a season, great results followed by moments of madness, pill's thrill's and bellyaches! They are in no danger of going down but many thought that a top 5 finish was on the cards @ the start of the season. With rumors of bankruptcy looming, Everton will want to give the fans something to cheer about.

Birmingham on the other hand need to start picking up points fast. After a great cup final win over Arsenal, the Birmingham players looked a mess against WBA. With 2 games in hand against their basement battling rivals The Blues know they need to put some breathing space between them and the relegation places, a win tonight will take them up to 13th and above The Villains.

The Midweeker's verdict: Birmingham to win by the odd goal

The last game we take a look @ features the mouth watering game @ The Lane. As Spurs take on AC Milan.

If we have learnt one thing this season it's that Spurs seem to love playing in the Champions League and have been easy on the eye gaining many fans along the way. After that all important away goal in Milan, Spurs may feel that the hardest part of the tie has been played, this could and would be a foolish assumption.
Spurs need to attack Milan from the off, as Milan can't play as badly as they did in the first leg...... can they?

The Midweeker's verdict: Spurs to win in extra time.

You know what to do! Go stick a cheeky fiver on it!
